Clay Jaqua is the heart and driving force behind 505 Motorsports. As the owner and co-founder, Clay brings decades of experience and a genuine passion for the car industry to the dealership. His journey began when he was a young college student with a baby on the way, seeking a career to support his growing family. He landed a job at the local Ford dealership in Farmington, where he dedicated 14 years before deciding to venture out on his own.

Clay partnered with his longtime friend, Curtis Cassada, to create Snyder’s Wholesale, which quickly outgrew its space and brand. Together, they founded 505 Motorsports, expanding to a beautiful four-acre location on East Main Street. What started with just 12 vehicles has now grown to nearly 100 quality cars, trucks, SUVs, and recreational vehicles, with a reputation built on trust, quality, and community values.

Clay has a deep love for classic cars, especially the iconic 1969 and 1970 Mustang Boss 302. His expertise in rare and vintage vehicles has allowed 505 Motorsports to stand out in the Farmington area, with a stunning showroom featuring unique classics that often sell to collectors across the country. His passion for these vehicles brings a unique flair to the dealership, making it more than just a place to buy cars it’s an experience for fellow car lovers.

Originally from Houston, Clay moved to Farmington as a teenager and quickly fell in love with the close-knit community. For him, Farmington is more than a place to do business; its home. Clay believes in giving back and supporting the community that has supported his success. Whether through local sponsorships or providing a stress-free, no-pressure buying experience, he stands by the philosophy of doing something for the customer, not to the customer.

Clay is also a proud husband of 23 years and father of four, all of whom have grown into successful young adults. His wife, a dedicated nurse in the community, plays just as vital a role in the family’s connection to Farmington as Clay himself.

Outside of the dealership, Clay is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing, camping, and taking working vacations with his family. He’s also deeply involved in the Barrett-Jackson classic car scene, often taking vehicles to prestigious auctions across the country.

Connie Kimball - Office Manager

Connie Kimball has been a cornerstone of the 505 Motorsports team for over 13 years, keeping the dealership running smoothly with her exceptional organizational skills and positive energy. As the Office Manager, Connie truly does it all from managing daily operations to keeping the team in line (with a smile, of course!). Her dedication, attention to detail, and natural leadership help ensure the entire dealership functions seamlessly.

What makes Connie such a vital part of the 505 Motorsports family is her belief in teamwork and genuine connection. She describes working here as more than just a job it feels like being part of a family. That spirit of collaboration and care makes her not only a fantastic team member but also someone customers trust and enjoy working with.

A Farmington resident for over 31 years, Connie is deeply rooted in the community. She’s a proud mother of two and grandmother to three wonderful grandkids. Outside of work, Connie is a self-proclaimed people person who loves to stay busy and has a passion for typing — a skill she’s been perfecting for years.

R.J. Brown - Inventory & Finance Manager

R.J. Brown is an integral part of the 505 Motorsports team, bringing over 20 years of automotive expertise to the dealership. As our Inventory & Finance Manager, R.J. handles a little bit of everything from purchasing quality vehicles to overseeing financing and ensuring each car, truck, SUV, or recreational vehicle on the lot is in top condition. With a hands-on approach, he personally inspects and drives the vehicles, determining whether they need servicing, detailing, or other care before being added to our inventory. His keen eye for quality ensures that every vehicle meets the high standards 505 Motorsports is known for.

A longtime Farmington resident, R.J. has lived in the community since he was five years old. At just 21, he opened Meineke muffler, a successful automotive shop he ran for two decades before selling it to his brother. His deep-rooted connection to the community and vast automotive knowledge made him a natural fit for 505 Motorsports, where he’s been a key team member for over a decade.

Outside of work, R.J. is a dedicated family man. He and his wife have a blended family of seven children, keeping them busy with sports and activities. His commitment to both his family and the Farmington community reflects the values we hold dear at 505 Motorsports trust, quality, and service.

Steve Asby - Sales Specialist

Steve Asby brings over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry to 505 Motorsports. Having done everything from detailing cars and managing inventory to sales and financing, Steve’s well-rounded expertise makes him a valuable part of the team. He’s been with 505 Motorsports for about six months but has known Clay and the crew for years, drawn to the dealerships outstanding reputation and commitment to honesty. When the opportunity arose to join the team, he jumped at the chance.

For Steve, the best part about working at 505 Motorsports is the positive atmosphere and integrity of the dealership. He takes pride in offering a no-pressure, honest buying experience where customers feel respected and valued. What’s His favorite car? Simply is one that makes the customer happy a reflection of his genuine focus on customer satisfaction rather than flashy sales tactics.

Steve has been married for 28 years and is a proud father to a 17-year-old daughter who will be graduating high school soon. His son is a talented artist and an animal lover with three cats at home. Family is incredibly important to Steve, and when he’s not at the dealership, he enjoys spending quality time with them. Whether its attending concerts with his son or catching an Albuquerque Isotopes game together, family moments are what he values most.
